We talk about water scarcity. We read about it. But we need to do something about it.
It’s time to become water wise. Here are little things you can do that will make a difference.

1.

Shorten your shower by 1 or 2 minutes and turn the faucet off while you soap up.
Water saved per month:
around 600 litres

2.

Use a bucket instead of a hosepipe to wash your car.
Water saved per wash: around 100 litres

3.

Repair dripping faucets. Water saved per month: around 1,500 litres

4.

Turn off the tap while you’re brushing your teeth and admiring yourself in the mirror! Water saved per month: around 200 litres

Time to become water wise

5.

Use your washing machine only when you have a full load.
Water saved per month: around 4,000 litres

6.

Check your toilet for flush leaks and call a plumber if need be.
Water saved per month: around 2,500 litres

7.

Use a water-efficient showerhead.
Water saved per month: around 2,000 litres

8.

Avoid using a bathtub. Opt for a shower instead. Water saved per month: around 3,500 litres
